The Role
Idle is looking for an Assistant Manager to support the leadership team in delivering a smooth, high-energy café experience. This is a hands-on role, suited to someone who is service-driven, highly organised, and excited to mentor and support a growing front-of-house team.You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, contributing to staff development, and maintaining the warm, polished style of service that defines Idle. Your ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and uphold high service standards will be key to the role’s success.

• Proven experience in a supervisor or assistant manager role in a high-volume café or casual dining setting
• A calm, efficient presence on the floor with a focus on leading by example
• Strong communication skills and an approachable leadership style
• Ability to manage rosters, support with inventory, and assist in day-to-day venue operations
• Strong understanding of customer service principles and attention to detail
• Availability across weekdays and weekends as required
• RSA Certificate required
